Smart Inventory Predictor
This privacy policy describes how Smart Inventory Predictor (“the App”) handles data accessed from your Shopify store. By installing the App, you agree to the practices described below.
The App accesses two categories of Shopify store data using read-only OAuth permissions.
First, the App reads product data via the read_products scope. This includes product
titles, SKU identifiers, variant information, and pricing context. Product data is used to build the
inventory catalog the App tracks for forecasting purposes.
Second, the App reads order data via the read_orders scope. This includes order line
items, quantities, order dates, and fulfillment status. Order records contain the sales history that
the App’s forecasting model uses to calculate demand velocity and reorder points.
Third, the App reads inventory data via the read_inventory scope. This includes current
stock levels per product variant and per location. On-hand quantities are refreshed during the
App’s periodic scheduled syncs and whenever you run predictions from within the App.
Inventory data is used to calculate days of stock coverage, reorder timing, and suggested reorder
quantities. It contains no personal customer information.
The App does not collect personal customer information beyond what is implicit in Shopify order records (for example, the fact that an order was placed on a given date for a given quantity of a product). No customer names, email addresses, shipping addresses, or payment details are stored by the App. The App reads roughly the most recent 60 to 90 days of order history from Shopify and keeps only aggregate daily sales totals per product.
Data accessed from your Shopify store is used exclusively to perform inventory forecasting calculations within the App. Specifically, product, order, and inventory data is used to calculate historical sales velocity, projected days of stock coverage, seasonal demand patterns, and suggested reorder quantities.
Your store data is not sold, licensed, or shared with any third party for any purpose. It is not used for advertising, cross-merchant analytics, or any purpose beyond the forecasting functionality described in this policy. App staff access to store data is limited to debugging and support tasks, and only with your explicit permission.
Aggregate daily sales totals and product catalog data are retained for as long as your store remains connected to the App; this history is what the forecasting model learns from. Internal operational logs are cleaned up automatically on rolling windows. If you uninstall the App, all data associated with your store, including billing history, is deleted from the App’s database within 30 days of uninstallation (in practice this occurs when Shopify issues its data-erasure request, approximately 48 hours after uninstall).
You may request immediate deletion of your store’s data at any time by contacting us at the address below. Deletion requests are fulfilled within 7 business days.
For questions about this privacy policy, data deletion requests, or data access requests, please contact the App publisher using the support contact listed on the Shopify App Store listing page for Smart Inventory Predictor.
